I have set out these terms & conditions to protect myself and my business, and for you, the client, to make an informed decision before booking my services.


It is the responsibility of the named person on the 'wedding day' booking form to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions. By proceeding to pay a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by these conditions.

Travel expenses are charged outside a 10 miles radius from Newport. Free mileage within. Additional mileage will be charged at 55p per mile round trip. You will be expected to cover all costs including parking and hotel accommodation if it is not practical to travel on the day of your wedding, such as destination, limited time available, or severe weather conditions have been forecast. etc


A non-refundable £50 wedding day deposit/booking fee is required to secure your wedding date, along with booking fee of £15 which is redeemable against your trial only. Any payments made thereafter is deducted from the final balance. Please note there needs to be a minimum of 4 persons on Friday & Saturday weddings during peak seasons (May - October) OR a minimum spend of £200. A minimum of £200 spend on Sunday and Bank Holiday weddings. Working hours from 6am. A surcharge of £30 will be added if starting on location any time before. Trial costs are due at the time of the trial, or before. An invoice will be sent to you via email (please check spam) about 6 weeks before your wedding for the remaining wedding day balance - which is due 1 month before the wedding day. Should no payment be received within 5 working days I have the right to cancel all services for your wedding date and appropriate legal action will be taken


All trials take place at my home studio in Newport NP10. If this is not possible, arrangements can be made for me to come to you at extra cost. Trials can be booked Monday-Friday, 9.30am ‒ 2pm or after 4pm up until 7pm. Trials are advised for the bride and recommended but not essential for any members of your bridal party. Without a trial I will not accept responsibility if a desired style or look does not meet expectations on the wedding day and a refund will not be issued. Prior notice must be given if you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment. I allocate 2 hour time slots for hair and makeup, and 1.5 hours for hair / makeup . Additional trial time will be charged at £10 per hour if your trial exceeds this time. In the unlikely circumstance where expectations are not met and/ or the client is uncooperative, not open to suggestions or makes me feel uncomfortable, I reserve the right to cancel a booking following a trial without a refund of the deposit. I advise that you familiarise yourself with my portfolio and ensure you are confident and happy with my capabilities before securing a booking with me. I strive to ensure that all participants are happy with the outcome of their trial and I encourage all clients to be open and honest with me about their results. However, In the unlikely event that you or any of your bridal party decide AFTER the trial that you are not satisfied you must contact me immediately and  I will offer another trial free of charge where amendments will be made. If it has been more than 5 days and no attempt to contact me was made, no trial or refund will offered. 


In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking completely I require a minimum of 3 months notice. After this time the full amount will still be payable by the specified date. You are required to give a minimum of 3 months notice should you wish to reduce numbers or services booked on your wedding day. After this time the full amount for services cancelled will still be payable. All payments are the responsibility of the bride. In the unlikely event of Risk to public health, Risk to safety, 'Act of God', or any government sanction, and your wedding is imminent - you should ensure that you have wedding insurance that covers you for every eventuality as refunds on any monies received will not be issued by myself. In the event of Force majeure I will contact you to offer the best possible action. However I will do my upmost best to accommodate you at a later date at no extra cost should you wish to reschedule during such events.   Changes to your booking by adding another person onto your original booking can only be accepted if there is enough time on your wedding day, and I will require notice and payment at the specified time. I always aim to get everyone ready an hour before you're due to leave for your ceremony; so adding extra people on the day without prior warning is not suitable as it may jeopardise the quality of my work and risk delays. Deposits/booking fees are non refundable. 

This has never happened before; but in the extremely unlikely event that I cannot attend on the day of your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, all payments will be immediately refunded (including deposit). I will work with you to find an alternative reputable and recommended stylist/artist to cater for your requirements. Before such measures; I will ask for an earlier start time to accommodate your party - if that is not possible, I will refund all services. No further compensation will be offered.  In the unlikely event of Risk to public health, Risk to safety, 'Act of God', or any government sanction, and your wedding is imminent - you should ensure that you have wedding insurance that covers you for every eventuality as refunds on any monies received will not be issued by myself. In the event of Force majeure I will contact you to offer the best possible action. If I am made to feel uncomfortable in anyway, mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive/violent or displays any offensive behaviour, I have the right to cancel the contract without refund.
If you are aware of any factors which could delay my journey, such as diversions, road closures, etc please let me know as soon as possible so that I can factor this into my route. No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by this, or any other delays caused by wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. A minimum of 30 minutes will be allocated for hair or makeup application per person. A trial will be advised if you think anyone may pose a challenge to avoid potential delays on the day.

Please be aware that in order for me to carry out my tasks, I need to be working in a suitable environment with adequate lighting, electricity points, and hand wash facilities. Please ensure every member of your wedding party is aware of timings on the day and that they need to be available when required. It is your duty to inform me of any allergies prior to makeup application or hair styling. If no known allergies are stated I cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, damage, and costs that may occur to you or any other member of your party. Before having makeup applied or hair styled please ensure you and your party are prepared and ready. To get the best results from your makeup application, please exfoliate the night before and moisturise.  On your wedding day,  please ensure hair is clean and  completely dry - preferably washed the night before.  If any of your bridal party has wet hair they will be expected to dry it thoroughly. I will not be held responsible for delays in that event. Children must be kept away from styling tools at all times and supervised to avoid any accidents. I will not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur 

It is imperative for my business that I continue to update my portfolio and demonstrate my work to prospective brides. I will take photos of my work and may take some photos when you are all dressed and ready. Please let me know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or if you are not happy for me to use them for marketing purposes. I do not show images from trials until after the wedding day and you will not be tagged in any images on social media, but you are welcome to tag yourself. As I am continuously updating my portfolio; I sincerely appreciate any images you send from your photographer. Please let me know who your photographer is so that I can reference/credit them wherever I use the images. I am happy to be photographed on your wedding morning, however, any images incorporating me working, or my hair and/or make-up designs on the internet or on any other advertisement, must reference or credit my business name 'Beautystyle' (one word)as the hair and/or makeup artist.
